This is yet another PERFECT excerpt to watch--preferably BEFORE you vote--but, of course, Ms. Maddow, hostess of the thrillingly amusing, provocative and yes, saddeningly all-too-real, The Rachel Maddow Show, will never get the people who REALLY need to hear her to listen to her! Hmmmmmmmmm, something about being an articulate, intelligent, fact-presenting, oftentimes-deliciously-cynical lesbian (who does not apologize for her open disdain of idiocy) makes her persona non grata for many in certain political arenas. Additionally, it does not help Ms. Maddoes cause that her approach to exposing the utter ridiculousness of much in our political world often requires that a viewer actually lisen to her for 10 or more minutes at a time (her commentary is usually delivered in a manner thats toooooooooooooooooooo complicated for a 10 second soundbite . . . at least her spiritual bedfellow, Bill Maher, has his New Rules that can easily be broken apart into smaller chunks for those who like their delightfully-disdainful, complicated political commentary broken down into baby-food-sized soundbites). Lets face it, lots of people couldnt concentrate for 10-15 minutes on any matter of substance if they tried . . . but of course, thats the point, they wont try. After all, theyve got the truth on all matters, intellectually pre-chewed for them, thanks to FOX (etc.)! IF YOURE INTERESTED, stay with this excerpt past the admittedly-humorous (and STILL kinda-accurate) depiction of the weird uncles alternate universe and get to the FRIGHTENING CHRIS CHRISTY commentary that ends the segment. If that doesnt strike disgust into every fiber of your political being, something is, indeed, intellectually and morally amiss! There are those who DO approve of the various ramifications of this sort of thing (as boldly proclaimed by the Governor and roundly damned by Ms. Maddow) as long as THEIR candidate is the beneficiary of the corrupt system he seemingly endorses (think back to various levels of intrigue surrounding Bush/Gore) . . . others who are less partisan and view the oveall implications for the supposed honesty of the election system that runs the US government (and SHOULD BE--we are told-- a model for the world) are TOTALLY MORTIFIED (and, at least, a weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee bit disgusted, AGAIN, by the good Governor . . . and those who so fervently embrace the party for which he stands). Have a GREAT DAY! :-)
