This little cottage has its own driveway right off the street and a little yard area, it sits on a bigger lot that backs up to a kind of shared open area where other people live including the maintenance man and his teenage son, both sweethearts, always happy to help with anything .Theres a small garden that Bonnie and her husband Ronnie started (funny thats my brother and his wifes name) and some tables, a fire area etc. Rudy and I go for a walk in the evenings, its especially nice lately in the cool air as its been so hot, then coming back to people sitting outside, playing music under the trees, inviting me to drum with them. what could be better? Tonights sky has an amazingly beautiful full moon , dancing in and out of luminous ever changing high clouds. There is so much about it here that I love, I am so grateful to be right where the Guru has placed me on this auspicious Full Moon, Part of what I am surprised to be processing with this big moon is grief over the life I left, even though it was already past in many ways and I was just living in the shadows of it, my time in that house and at Harbin was very special. I was so happy for such a long time, deliriously ecstatic really, living an indescribably magical life, its easy to wish it could stay that way. (I also suffered intensely, it was a beautiful pure intimacy with the Guru kind of suffering though and easier to surrender to in a way) Whatever the sadhana now, the sacrifices, I can honestly say that I have been truly blessed in this life, and like a child that has been given so much, then grows up to be the parent, there is a deep well of love, light and beauty to give from that would not have been possible with what had come before.
