This lovely moth was on a plant in the mountains near the Magoesboskloof Hotel. This area supports a habitat known as Afromontane Forest or mist forest. It is a rare habitat in South Africa and much of it appears to have been removed and planted with pine. The indigenous forest was beautiful and most trees were covered with mosses and other epiphytes. It looked much like cloud forest in Mexico or Central America.
