This may seem backwards, in light of the previous post but we wanted to share a couple of programming tidbits with you so that you can be in the know. We strive to be open and available to you and, to that end, GMHO is in full swing on Tuesdays, especially now that the major winter holidays have passed. There will be times, however, when we are closed. It may seem random to our Facebook fellas but we do have the occasional night when facilitators are called away due to their office duties or we are short-staffed due to illness, etc. One such time will be on Tuesday, January 20, when GMHO will be closed for the evening. Please mark your calendars so that you wont make a chilly trip, downtown, in vain. Another thing to please keep in mind is that we stick to a pretty broad policy related to bad weather. We have this to deal with mostly during the winter but we wanted to give you some insight into how we make the decision to respond and close when bad weather looms. During the winter months, if nasty weather is heading our way, be sure to check the school closings on local tv and/or radio. Its a guarantee that if Missouri State University has cancelled classes, we deem it important enough to keep GMHO closed, as well. If bad weather or increasingly poor driving conditions are likely to hit just before or during GMHOs hours of operation, it is quite likely that GMHO will be closed. The most important thing in this weather alert equation is you, guys...just as we wouldnt want to you to take unnecessary risks in other areas of your life, we would rather you skip a potentially dangerous trip to hang with us, so that we can enjoy your company at a later, safer date. With all that said, we wish you a happy and healthy New Year...we are excited to meet you and we hope you find a welcoming, affirming place with us here at GMHO!
