This might upset some ppl. If you get upset, thats on you. I will not apologize. I am sad to see people I thought I knew express ONLY concern for the safety of the officers and never once the pain and suffering of the Brown family or even Michael Brown himself. When I see photos of the injuries sustained by officer Wilson, my heart breaks into a million pieces. No police officer should ever endure being attacked while working. But I have to say, I expected extreme injuries that would OBVIOUSLY warrant the use of deadly force - NO QUESTIONS, PUT TO BED. I am a black woman married to a white police officer with mixed race children who will only ever be classified as black in this country and it is unfortunately times like this that the we are forced to face the unspoken and often ignored or dismissed reality of our existence. For those of you who think this is as simple as whites vs black, or police vs blacks or a broken justice system, I can assure you, it is a much larger issue than that. And if you are trivializing or marginalizing or name calling or taking sides, we are not friends. We are not even Facebook friends. There is no side. There is only profound sadness, pain and suffering on ALL sides. No one has won. Everyone has lost. Everyone. Neither the Brown nor Wilson familys lives will ever be the same. I know mine wont.
