This morning I awoke feeling a little strange but I ignored it and continued to get ready to teach my Zumba Toning Class. Once the class started the music was feeling good, but I looked at a couple of my students faces and noticed that something was not right. We continued with our playlist and had a blast. We were sweating and were out of steam just in time for cool down. I played the song: I Will Never Let You Down by Rita Ora. We stretched our sore muscles and brought our hear rates back to resting and then class was over. Well That is when one of my students approached me and told me that today was her last day and that she was moving to Maine. My heart immediately broke and I was hurt, but I understood. Her journey with me was over and God was in charge. We embraced each other with a sweaty hug and promised to keep in touch. She gifted me a thank you card saying the most loving words and the most beautiful bracelet. I was very touched that I couldnt hold back and then my ugly cry came out. (We all have one) We hugged more and I told her that it was a pleasure having her in my class and that I will truly miss her. Not to give up on the journey and that if she needs me I will never let her down. I loved having her in my class and she has the most gorgeous legs. (I have this leg obssesion going on now.) We hugged once more for a long time and parted ways. I will truly miss you! I walked out the class feeling empty and accomplished at the same time. I felt like I had lost a great student, but in reality I gained so much more. I found my purpose I am here to make the lives of others happy, healthy and meaningful. I began putting my weights in my bag and saw two students talking. One student said I have something to tell you. I thought Oh No, she shook her head and said. Today is my last day. We live too far from the facility and with two young children its too far to drive. I told her that another student just told me she was moving and how much I am going to miss her. Then I told this student that I am going to not only miss her, but she inspires me. She is not only a hard working student, but a great Mom! Our class has seen her go through a pregnancy and then get back into shape probably better than before the pregnancy. She is not just a student, but she is family. She holds her poses and goes through the reps with ease. That I found myself working harder to keep up with her. (lol) I then reminded her that the journey is not over and that we will see one another again. We cried gave hugs and cried more. I encouraged her to keep going and then I told her that I want to be like her when I grow up. (Guys she is super hot!) So I left my job today finding out what that feeling was and it was the feeling of accomplishment. I never knew what that felt like. It was the feeling of love from someone who had never broken my heart. It was the feeling of success, becasue they stuck with me for the last 1-2 years. Im not the perfect Zumba Instructor. There are times that I forget the next step and throw in the Beto shuffle to get back on track or put another step in place. There are times that I get distracted because I choose to help the students whose form is incorrect to prevent injury, all because I truly LOVE them. When I teach its a feeling of love that I feel when that music comes on. The energy of the class helps me to be the best that I could be. I take it all in stride. I know that some students will leave and continue on a new journey, but I am glad to have started them on their way. I am happy to have come in contact with them. God is good and he brings people in your life for a reason. It may be to teach you both a lesson, inspire one another or bring angels to the forfront so that you can be a witness to his unfailing love. No matter what the encounter is, I am happy to have encountered these two ladies in life. Please stay in touch and continue to spread love. I will never let you down, ZumbawithSadie
