This morning I woke up thinking about a situation I needed victory over, when the Word of God spoke clearly into my spirit that it was time to get on the OFFENSIVE and stop cowering in offense. I had been retreating rather than standing my ground or advancing. Football fans can relate, it takes all positions to win the game and as Christians we need to be not only standing our ground spiritually, but also advancing and taking new ground! In Luke 10:19 Jesus said Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. When you remind yourself of who you are IN HIM according to 2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him, and WHOSE you are in the Word of God by focusing on what HE says about you, then you realize Satan has no hold over you. The enemy has nothing in common with you and cannot hurt you unless you let him. You can start looking at life through different eyes--eyes of faith in the One Who came and gave His all for you, then turned around and handed you the AUTHORITY in His Name to stand firm and do whatever He has placed in your heart to do. Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore[a] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. The enemy would have you FORGET that Jesus is with you always--He has given you authority, He has OVERCOME for you! John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” Jesus overcame the enemy for you. Do not be confused into thinking your life should be perfect, a bed of roses, but REALIZE He has given you the power and authority to stand firm on His Word and not be defeated, but rather OVERCOME! The Word clearly states Satan uses condemnation--accusations--to stop you from walking in the truth of Gods Word! BUT Jesus reveals that we are to overcome by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of our testimony according to Revelation 12:10-11 10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. You speak His Word over your life! You stand firm! You overcome!
