This one picture sums him up pretty well I think. Just like his grave marker states, He came to rock, and rocked like no other. Aint that the truth. I know these are going to be bold statements but this country boy from Texas outplayed Zakk Wylde, Randy Rhoads, and Eddie Van Halen without trying to. He just played. What came out of his amplifier were not just the notes played from his guitar, but his personality. That is what sets him aside from the 1 billion guitarists on the planet. When you heard his playing, you heard him. Hes done things on his guitar that have actually made me laugh. I heard humor in it for crying out loud. We are all just people, and he would be the first to say he was nobody special. But that would be yet one more thing that sets him apart.
