This post by Domenica Castro articulate how I feel about your support to our latest film. Splitsville: I didnt want to let one more day go by without taking a moment to express my sincere gratitude to each and everyone of you who worked on our film Splitsville. This was an ambitious undertaking that without your talent, expertise, energy, focus, and huge support-- it simply would have never happened. I am honored to have produced this film and to have had the opportunity to collaborate with each one of you. I will begin my thank yous with Joe Greer and Ivan Alcantara- the writers of the film. Thank you for writing this wonderful short. Without a script we wouldnt have a movie. The story inspired a huge number of people to a degree that we were willing to go above and beyond to help make it happen. Great job guys! Thank you to my fellow producers Valeria Salandra and Rebecca Brunner for going through this journey with me. I love you girls! There were good times, there were difficult times but I cant remember one that was not worth going through together. Ivan Alcantara, youre a mess but a great mess- a genius mess that I have had the pleasure to work with and hope to work with in the future. Your creativity and directorial skills are so powerful and Im a true admirer of your work. Although your requests seemed at times impossible to complete due to the high speed of your imagination and fervent desire to achieve impossible things with impossible resources, your enthusiasm and belief that it could happen helped pump me to make each idea possible. I love you. Michael Gaskell, it was a pleasure and continues to be a pleasure to work with you. Thank you for the grandiose support that you gave this film by backing us up with the best equipment, the best space and letting us fly with this film. That meant so much. We all got an opportunity to be in a professional space that is rarely ever possible to get in student productions. Thank you for the time that you dedicated to this film, which I know included time you could have been spending with your wife and children, or on paid gigs, or resting, yet you would still come to set after long days of shooting to kill it with us. Very much appreciated. To our wonderful principal cast: Brian, Lenna, Mabel, Art, Joe Greer, Tom Peck, Nathan Ulig, thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your talents with us. Furthermore you worked out your schedules to make the coordination of the film easier. Mabel even took off work the last day and got stuck with having to work the day after Halloween- thank you for taking that bullet for the team. You guys are not only incredibly talented but you are great friends and understood that the film couldnt be shot without you and instead of taking this as a means of power or control over the production you took it as a form of responsibility and made yourselves available regardless of losing sleep, work, etc. This is invaluable. Steve McRae, the level of dedication and commitment that you put into this film was superb. Such a pleasure to work with you! Michael Tushaus, thank you for saving the last day of shoot by giving us of your time, dedication, amazing equipment, and DP talents!! You are so wonderful and we are so lucky to have had a chance to have you as a part of our movie!! You killed it with the party scene photography! Also thank you for inviting John to work with us! John, your contribution to the project is invaluable. To the whole rest of the cast which includes our amazing extras, and incredible crew, Ellie Agelova, Jordan Paldi, TJ Hess, Anellia Mollova, Antonio Mendoza, Scottie Minshall, Sean OCallaghan, Ian Hotujac, Jenny Egidio, Tim Harbour, Christina Najar, Joe Castellano, Lene Amalfi, Ben Gaskell, Brandy Thaw, along with our amazing PAs! (Forgive me I know I missed some names). Guys we did it! We pulled this together and we completed an ambitious project!!! Thank you for everything! I love you all. You are all my Splitsville family and hold a very special place in my heart! I wish you all the best of luck on all you do, dont forget us when youre big and famous!
