This reminds me of a phrase I used to say. "You dont have to lie to kick it!" I am not normally one to troll patriotic pictures. In fact I am more often than not inspired. But This time, I had to play a little game of Slylock Fox and pick it apart. Nice try "Cindy" This is the comment I originally wrote. please read it after the story on the article to see if you noticed anything wrong as well. "This is fake or wrong. Not to trying to pick fights, and I definitely admire the childrens upbringing. But there are obvious flaws with this story. I, too, live on a military installation. Here are some facts. "Colors" or The national anthem is only played over the base speakers at 0800 every morning. Taps is played over the base speakers at sundown. She wrote that they did this as "colors and the National Anthem started". Because they are the same, I believe she meant one of two things. Colors and Taps, or the raising of the flag and Colors. Because Colors and Taps are never played concurrently, I can only assume she meant the raising of the national ensign and Colors. Now with that, they are obviously in base housing. So, custom dictates that you are to face the flag or face the direction of the music. Because the military does not randomly put flags through military housing, there would be no raising of the flag (colors during the moring) or lowering of the flag( Taps at sundown). Being that they are not looking at a flag, (Yet she claims they are, because shes looking out her window and can see it, but the camera could not get a shot of it) they should be facing the direction of the music. Whereas there are times here in Bangor Wa that Taps gets played at five, in this picture, it is still obviously daytime indicating that Taps would not be playing. So this leaves me to believe that these boys are the way they are for another reason. My guess, if this picture is doing what they are saying, that it would have been taken at 8 in the morning during the summer. maybe a recent one like this year. Not 5pm. also, It is more than likely that the kids are doing the right thing (facing the music). I strongly believe that this picture was taken off of the internet somewhere and "cindy Hendrix" put her own story behind it."
