This was Tamworth tonight. I counted over 70 people on lessons just on the lower part, this was split between three of four lessons each lesson with 2/3 instructors, it was that busy that even though its against the FIS skiway code instructors were having to stop with their lessons in the middle of the piste simply because it was that busy. Thus creating a huge back log. Now I totally understand that this is a business, however it got to the point that I had to stop at the top and wait and then stop at the bend every time and wait a minute and I would then slowly meander down. I could literally have walked down faster than I was able to ski. This was my first time at Tamworth, its a three hour round trip for me but I wanted to get some training in, total cost including petrol, food, drink, parking and lift tickets youre looking at about £80. Ive no doubt that there are nights where it would be quiet, however I cannot get there at those times. I personally think they should warn individuals going for rec skiing that they wont actually get any skiing done after Xpm as theyll spend the entire time on either the travelator or side slipping back down due to how busy it is. Rant over!
