This weekend I had the opportunity to visit Notre Dame and go to the football game this afternoon. Since my family is very large and especially proud of our irish heritage, the school has always held a special place in our hearts. Growing up, I remember Brendan dreaming about going there and being able to visit the school when he was older. Walking around campus today, I felt as if he was looking down on me and smiling at my opportunity to experience what he had when he went. On my way back from the game today, I stopped by the famous grotto and lit a candle for my much loved cousin. He is everything that I aspire to be and I can only hope that I can make my family as proud as he has made us. Brendan, youre an amazing role model. I miss you more everyday and theres not a single moment that I dont think of you. Love you Brendan.
