This went out today S: Residential Burglaries This is a Village-wide non-emergency crime alert via Everbridge from the Oak Lawn Police Department. Since the New Year there have been 5 Residential burglaries in Oak Lawn where either the front or rear door of the home has been forced in. Two of the incidents occurred between 8 AM - 3PM two others occurred between 1PM - 7:30 PM. The latest incident occurred around 1:30 when the offenders triggered an alarm. The Burglaries have occurred in the following areas:Trustee District 1: 89th & Menard 88th & MayfieldTrustee District 3: 99th & MarionTrustee District 6: 107th & Keeler 103rd & KeelerSometimes burglars will knock on doors attempting to see if anyone is home. If the door is answered they make up a name pretending they are looking for someone. Please report suspicious persons or vehicles immediately to the police by calling 911.
