This went out today to as many people I could track down on email. Please help us build the email list! Greetings to you for 2015! I am writing today to let you know of an exciting event planned for September 23-25, 2016. We are in the process of planning a Glen Rocks Reunion for that weekend! We have secured the date for the event to be held at Muskoka Woods, the property we know as Glen Rocks Bible Conference. There is much to do in planning such an event. Our first challenge is to get the word out to all former staff members that this is in the works. In the years that I was on staff, 1969-1972, there was an average of over 40 staff members. GR was in existence for 31 years. Although I doubt there were 40 staff members in the early years, there are still a lot of people who have passed through the property over the years. Even if the average was 20 staff members, simple math makes the total over 600! The second challenge is finding these people and getting email addresses for them. Most of “the girls” have married and changed their names further complicating things. None of us live with our parents anymore so we all have a different address than during our years at GR. Our immediate need as a committee is for all of you to scour your address books for friends from that era you still may have contact with. Next, scour your memory for names of those who you worked with at GR. Send any information you may have as clues to help us find these people. Please send to: [email protected] We need to reach people early so that we can firm up a number for our hosts at Muskoka Woods, and also so people can plan vacation time to attend in 2016. Mail addresses will help but email would be the most helpful and the best way to keep costs down. If you know of someone who is on Facebook, that info would help as well. If you are on Facebook, we invite you to join the “Glen Rocks Bible Conference” Facebook page and enjoy and post your photos and comments. We hope to establish a go- to page for information on the web for those who do not Facebook that will have all the latest news as the plans develop. Please help us today by: -Stating your intentions as to whether or not you’d be interested in coming -Sending us any information you can on yourselves and others to the email address above.
