Thomas Matthew Desser Tom Desser : you are my favorite human being on the face of this earth. On Sunday August 17th 2014 at 5:48 pm God decided your time was up on this earth. I was at work when I received the call from dad that the police were at our parents house. I was so confused What?? was all I could scream. I immediately left work and managed to drive home safely. Something happened on my way home from Fuller to Grandville exit, the same exit you and I had driven so many times before, then all down Wilson, I felt the love and grace of Jesus carrying my pain. I stopped crying and knew I had to be strong for mom, dad, and little Tommy who I was about to face. Joanne was there and her daughter Lisa, and together we all helped mom and dad keep it together. Kept from going crazy and losing it at the thought of you really being gone. We were worried about you, what had actually happened, what time you left moms earlier that evening, and we were worried about the Marsiglias, especially poor Devon! She is in Costa Rica right now. You love that beautiful woman with all of your heart! I know because we talked about getting engagement rings this weekend.... you said, Yeah I will look into it, dont worry I will get a good one, sis. and you could not imagine spending your life with anyone else, but Devon. I dont know what to say other than: you were the best brother anyone could ever imagine. No one could ever hold a candle to your sense of humor and positive outlook on life. Youve accomplished so much, you are so brilliant, my baby talks about you all the time! Everyone you met you had an effect on. There will be a lot of people from Grand Rapids missing you Thomas Matthew Desser. We will always remember you in our hearts. There could be no other like you. I love you with all of my heart. You best believe I will be clinging to Jesus to set my heart free.
