Those of us who think that South Sudan Minister for Information, Hon. Michael Makuei Lueths crass and stupid statements are unfairly quoted out of context need to check their consciences and tell us on whose behalf did the Hon. Minister utter these words: “We will not accept a unilateral decision being passed, [...] “And if the people of Abyei decided to join us, we will not be ready to accept them. We must not allow shortsightedness to debase and corrupt our moral conviction to stand up against all forms of injustice despite the insatiable urges for political expediency and short gains. And even though I do not know him, I still believe that Hon. Michael Makuei Lueth is a good man, therefore, he should come out and clarify his statements as well as offering public apology for the harm his such statements have caused.
