Though the impeachment move had been dismissed as a ruse by many of the APC members in the House, The former governor of the state and Accord National leader, Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, hurriedly summon the Five remaining AP Lawmakers in the Assembly, including the Deputy speaker, Hon Babatunde Olaniyan to a meeting. Senator Ladoja was said to have directed the legislators to sheathe their swords and allow peace to reign. The AP Chief told them that, impeaching Governor Ajimobi would throw the state into a crisis, like the one witnessed during his tenure as governor of the state. Senator Ladoja state that, as an ibadan man, he would not want Governor abiola Ajimobi to be impeached, adding that he knows what it means when an incumbent governor is removed from office. Consequently, the Accord National Leader was said to have scheduled a private meeting with other aggrieved members to impresses it on them to shelf their impeachment move against the speaker and the state governor.
