Thought for the day: Jim Collins in his book "Good to Great" - TopicsExpress

Thought for the day: Jim Collins in his book "Good to Great" speaks about finding the right people, asking them the right questions, and engaging them in debate in order to make a great company. Pat Lencioni in his book "Death by Meeting" talks about looking for places where people have different opinions but aren’t necessarily putting them out there. And Stephen Covey, author of "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" states that trust is the most essential ingredient in effective communication. Leadership is not about a title. The title means absolutely nothing. Some of the best, most influential leaders I have known are the ones that listen, investigate, engage and debate, ask to be taught and roll up their sleeves on a daily basis to work side by side with the real experts in the field. Those are the leaders I trust.
