Thought we had an off day today but radiation oncologist called this am and moved apt with him from Thurs afternoon to this afternoon. Had a simulation today in prep for starting radiation treatments next week. And signed consent forms. Recd schedule for next weeks treatments- twice a day for five days. So next week we start the countdown. Appointments tomorrow with Internal Medicine and Medication Oncologist. We are becoming pros at moving between main hospital building and Mays Clinic at MD Anderson, riding Sky Bridge Tram between the two, locating elevators lettered from A to U, finding landmarks like Sun Dial, Aquarium, Tree Sculpture, Gazebo, and mastering shuttle bus schedules. Considering applying for a job as tour guide or personal escort. Seriously, some of the poor patients we see need all the help they can get and encountering them will certainly humble you and make you count your blessings. And we are blessed.
