Thousands Affected by Uttarakhand Floods As you are aware, Uttarakhand has been hit by heavy rains and flash floods at many places in the state causing loss of valuable lives and properties. More than 50,000 people have been affected and t he devastation has been enormous. Districts of Uttarkashi , Rudraprayag , Chamoli , Tehri , Pithoragarh and Kedarnath valley have been severely impacted leaving thousands stranded. Rescuers are battling time and adverse weather conditions to rescue people in t he flood - ravaged Uttarakhand which braces itself for another spell of adverse weather.
