Three Weeks from TODAY- my book The Watchnight Songs will be released; a five part Poetry book that will take its readers through biological science, sociology, philosophy, history, geography, anthropology, and political science. A book that comes with several innovations ever known in Literature. The first section shall take readers through our physical body as it compares it to a typical city. The second part focuses on the sociology and philosophy of life; interestingly, this section addresses the common social issues that affect ALL HUMANS, regardless of color, background, creed, social status, location, political and cultural beliefs. Part three poetically presents Nigeria historical journey from January 1, 1914- the day the Northern, Southern Protectorates, and Lagos Colony were amalgamated to form a country in the Western part of Africa by British Colonial master. The section, a novel in Literature-creatively shares Nigeria political history- in three different ways: (A) Our travails, (B) Accidental (C) Delibrate Steps as a country that have significantly shaped what we are Today. Section four highlights on Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade- this part breaks African historic past from 1472 when the Portuguese first visited Bini Kingdom (Benin, Nigeria) into four parts: (A) Exploration of Africa for Europes material needs/new route to India (B) Demand for Africans and the Introduction of Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade (C) Abolition of Slave Trade/Replacement by Annexation of Africa through Colonialism. (D) De-colonization/Neo Colonization. The final section x-ray Africa, as it presents the fairly known side of Africa-our history, culture, geography, wildlife, agriculture, religion, historical figures properly through poetry.
