Throw up Thursday....very old, faded photos. Back to 1978 when Tony Bramwell, Dave Maddock-Brown and I owned a boat, The Surely. You must have heard of the Surely Knot! We bought it so we could enjoy idyllic weekends on the Thames. Many were. However, when three pluggers buy a boat, there may be disasters like heading very swiftly towards a large weir in fast-moving water when the spark plugs sooted up; careering into a rather fine craft on Daves first piloting attempt; taking the whole top off the boat on a bridge while trying to reach Gus Dudgeons lovely studio after a fine lunch (Gus assured us it would fit- it didnt) and the eventual sinking. The photo on the right is of Daves daughter, Amanda Kuyuate who posted these; I think Im steering. I had hair then.
