Thursday, July 7, 2011 premiere, debut Marella Ferrera at the XXII edition of the Ravenna Festival at the Teatro Alighieri, in Pathos, the tragedy of the Trojan Women by Euripides and Seneca, which has signed the costumes. The new creation sees as the main protagonist in the role of Hecuba, queen and mother, Lindsay Kemp, one of the most visionary and provocative artists of recent decades: mime, dancer, clown. A brilliant master of gesture drawing and gives new life to the space. His figure fully embodies the ancient drama, the theater itself, the tragedy in itself. The cast actress Catania Mariella Lo Giudice and intense Medium, voice of the afterlife and dancers of the Ensemble of the Historic Van Hoecke. Among the features of the tragedy, the timelessness that is also reflected in the costumes. The costume-designer Marella Ferrera Sicilian creates the aura of a time suspended by overlaying fiber fabrics, texture, and weight; dosa volumes of a soft, unstructured silhouette that caresses the body and accompanied the gesture; reproduces, with a highly sought after and unique processing of the paper, a fabric mosaic of color and texture like lava stone, flexible and lightweight. What ensues is a phantasmagoric vision and merely surreal. Hence the presence of dark tones, such as black or slate gray and opaque fabrics and the use of deaf taking a look dusted, lived and worn by time. Echoes of Greek melodies are inserted into the gloom of the darkest scenes designed by the designer Renzo Milan. The show will be on tour in Sicily for the review of Theatres of Stone with debut at the Teatro greek-Roman town of Catania on the 3rd of August.
