Thursday-Theology is the study of God, so to speak, as psychology is the study of man, so to speak, generally speaking. Sometimes the kind of theology we prefer to believe has nothing to do with the persuasion of Scripture but with the psychology of preference. Easy to believe radical grace when shame drives us so that our self-esteem is lifted by the idea that Jesus does it all, no matter how we are or respond. The false theology of radical grace appeals to many people who may have issues with self-acceptance and rely on a higher power to appease poor self-concepts. Jesus loves us and He saves us by grace alone, but now that we are justified by faith, we have access to the walk of faith. Romans 5:1,2.
