Thursday evening--Shelter Ops Director RayLynn and Shelter Manager Becky attended the seminar Bats In Our Community. Our friends at Antler Ridge Wildlife Sanctuary presented MacKenzie Hall from Conserve Wildlife Foundation of NJ who enabled participants to get up close and personal with these tiny residents of NJ and explained their important role in nature, concluding with the release of rehabilitated bats at a country church where they are welcome. Did you know one little bat eats up to 1,000 mosquitoes and other insects in an hour?
