Time is Money..& when you are in a profession like the one I am,the more time you economise..the more your pay. Going through my diary Today,I had 4 appointments which if I would manage my time amicably I would earn 1500kshs in the morning.:- 1.Vaccinating 200chicken for Linda(300shs) 2.Castrating 2 bulls for Okello (500shs) 3.Spraying 8sheep against ticks for Oscar(300shs) 4.Deworming 2 donkeys for Mwalimu(400shs) So going with proximity,Lindas farm was the nearest so I decided to start there as early as 7.00am knowing that the job would be done in less than 30mins if I involve her. Si nilimpata vizuri na kazi ikaanza asap. I made her hold each hen as I deposited a drop in each eye or nostril & by the time we at the 72nd hen it was only 12mins gone & I was relaxed that my time management was accurate & in the next 15mins I would be at Okellos farm to castrate his bulls which wont also take alot of time. ...Then the worst happened!! Her neighbour,Claire arrived..after exchanging the usual greetings,she released the shocking News.. woiye Linda,..unajua Johnnie died??? ..Linda almost dropped the hen she was holding & my drop of vaccine went wasted in the ground. What!!!..she replied si..jana niliwacha ka yuko atleast poa & the Doc said he was progressing? wah! wah! wah!..continued Claire ..the oxygen support machine failed after a black out & he didnt make it.. ..to cut the long story short,Linda was so mesmerised with Johnnies death that I didnt what to alert her about my time management programme & the target money that I was supposed to reach Today. So I didnt wanna interrupt the two emotionally sad ladies as they discussed & eulogised Johnnies fate that had occured abruptly & unfortunately. Vaccinating a hundred chicken alone..i.e. chasing,catching,drawing vaccine,dropping in nostril,separating them..etc, took me almost 2hrs as the 2 ladies continued eulogizing Johnnie. This meant that I couldnt be able to attend the other clients coz all the other animals had now gone to graze & also meant I had to make new appointments with my clients...& sadly,worse still is that Today I had only managed to earn 300shs...anyway,bizna kuna kupata na kupoteza...haidhuru! # Being a kind hearted person,I even contemplated contributing something to my client Linda for her agony,so I humbly asked her what relation Johnnie was to her.. Pole Linda..death siku hizi comes at the most unexpected & least time you expect it......btw, huyu Johnnie ni nani,..namjua kweli? To my surprise,these two ladies bursted out loudly in laughter and answered in unison Haiyah!!!!! Buga kwani hamnaga TV?...si ule Johnnie wa La Tormenta...kwani huwochingi hiyo proggi????? JESUS!!!! LADIES AND MEXICAN SOAPS SHOULD BE BANNED IN KENYAN!!!!!!!!!!
