Tip Of The Day: Fished my home lake yesterday- Tenkiller- and was struggling badly. Fishing all the areas that I had for years. A lot of short strikes and not getting hooked up. Just figured it was short fish and moved on to another tree of woodpile. Marking a few fish on standing timber here and there but nothing that I would say made me feel warm and fuzzy over. I just couldnt get a good bite. After going through my box changing from every color option that I had been successful with on this clear water lake I changed up from a pearl/yellow chartreuse bait to a pearl/green chartreuse bait and Bam. Same water different color. Same water I had been getting short strikes in and not hooking up. Went from a forgettable trip to a successful trip in minutes. So never be afraid to get out of that comfort zone and change. That goes for depth, colors, jig head size, size of baits, and techniques. Tight Lines
