To All Whove Served Alarm bells now fall silent, your siren - TopicsExpress

To All Whove Served Alarm bells now fall silent, your siren sings no more. The races for life have ended, no rushing out the door. You served humanity faithfully, throughout the passing years. The gentle strength of your compassion, served to sooth their fears. You touched the lives of many, perhaps you saved a few. Truly a special person, for this work you chose to do. Yours was not an easy task, the pain and their despair. But when their cries for help were heard, you were always there. And though you now have left, youll never be really gone. For with the honour you have shown, others shall carry on. W.A.Simmons, Paramedic, Retired. I wrote these words years ago for a passing medic, feel free to share them with anyone who has served.
