To Our Valued Verve Partners, We first want to take this opportunity to wish you a warm and wonderful holiday season. With the weather taking a drastic turn, we also wanted to give you some suggestions on how to deal with certain situations should they occur over the next few days. With high winds and heavy rains, it is not unusual to experience utility outages. These are most often exhibited as power outages and Internet connectivity failures. High winds can take down power and telephone lines, and this often results in the loss of service to certain customers. In the event of a power outage, we would like to ask you to take the following steps: 1. First, ensure that all staff are safe and out of any danger. 2. Secondly, call us at one of the emergency numbers listed below. 3. Begin the process of shutting down workstations and laptops to avoid a sudden shutdown, which can corrupt data. 4. If you have battery backups, we will work with you to ensure that your servers and network equipment are powered down safely, to avoid any damage to data. 5. Notify us when power is restored, and we will assist in making sure that all equipment starts up and is functional so that all resources are available to your staff. Internet outages can many times be caused by flooding or excess water near phone lines, which in many cases provide our connections to the Internet. Should your Internet become unavailable, please notify us so that we can work with you to enable a failover solution, should you have one, and assist in contacting your Internet Service Provider to notify them of the outage and determine how long the service may be down. We are susceptible to the ravages of the storm as well, and because of that, we have established additional phone numbers that you can call should you not be able to reach us at our regular number. Please call the following numbers should you have any issues at all during the storm. Verve Support 209-244-7120 Emergency 209-470-5587 209-430-4770 209-470-5788 209-200-1747 Again, we hope that the storm turns out to be less severe than is predicted. We will continue to monitor your systems as we are able, but if the storm should have a greater impact than expected, it may take us some time to get everyone back up and running. We appreciate your patience. Ultimately, we want you to know that we are here to serve you and will do everything within our power to make sure that you are able to function during this challenging weather.
