To all my friends here in Dona Ana County: If youre available and a registered Republican, Id like to invite you to come out tomorrow to the meeting of the Dona Ana Republican Party at 3:00 p.m. at Mesilla Valley Christian Schools, 3850 Stern Dr. Las Cruces, NM 8800. This is important for Republicans because this is the meeting where delegates will be elected to attend the Pre-Primary Republican State Convention, to be held March 1, 2014, in Albuquerque, NM. Let me explain how this works, because Ive been asked by several people and I just barely found out myself. So, apparently, here it is: Most of you know that Ive been heavily behind the candidacy of David Clements for the US Senate against Tom Udall. Now, for him to get on the ballot, first he needs to get at least 20% of the vote of the delegates going to Albuquerque from these meetings going on all over the state in every county. Then, all candidates who achieve 20% will be put on the primary ballot, where theyll be voted on by all Republican voters in the state. That winner then will go up against Udall in the general election. I would stay its time to push, but Ive discovered that, in a race like this, its always time to push, but this is an important step and all registered Republicans in the county are welcome at this meeting, so I hope to see yall there!
