To all my friends....today was a wake up call day for me. After a 45 min skype session with Pastor Talib Gorie who pastors the Dwelling Place Family Church Pakistan. I learned even more about the devastating affects of the Monsoons and floods that destroyed thousands of home. On top of that they are experiencing persecution at a new level. Several weeks ago a Christian women was nearly beaten to death for drinking from a Muslim fountain. Now that the hatred for Christians is increasing Pastor Gorie is concerned for his own life. He is more than willing to die for his faith but will not stop preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus. His concern is not for himself or even for his own family all of whom are willing to pay the ultimate price. His main concern is what will happen to the four Dwelling Place Family Churches (one in Lahore proper and three in rural outskirts of Lahore) and all the new believers he pastors if he is killed. He humbly asked for our prayers and that is the least we can do. Needless to say, once again I came away from todays skype so very thankful for the freedom we still have. The reality is this, we in the American church have nothing to complain about. We should be so willing to share our faith. So, would you please pray for Pastor Talib Gorie in Lahore Pakistan and the four churches he is responsible for. Rest well tonight, knowing that you are loved. May you awaken to a new day to tell everyone, everything from the root tops.
