To all my mothers out there. Sometimes we can be very hard on ourselves. Trying to live up to high expectations we have set for ourselves as parents and feeling like failures when things dont go as smoothly as we envision it should. Many of us have gone as far as to ask God why he didnt give our kids better parents, since we are obviously doing such a terrible job. I just want to remind you that God doesnt make mistakes. The end of this journey is going to be so much more remarkable that the elements in between. Your personal fulfillment comes from you adjusting your perception of how you see yourself and others, rather than wrapping your evaluation of self around the the perceived expectations of others. Being a mother can be very hard work, but it is necessary....so important. Give 100 percent and dont sweat the small stuff. You cant always change what people do or say, but you have full control over your reactions to it. Sometimes your very reaction can promote change. Be blessed.
