In the recent past few weeks, we are being hurled with number of acquisitions and allegations against us. We simply wish to clarify the situation for your clear understanding. I know you all trust us no matter what, as you have been with us as a support for the past 25 years. V.V.Mineral is governed by strict ethics and principles which we will stand for even when the world turns over. Our company is headed by people from orthodox family who have great ethical values and strict views towards seeing business as a family. All the three generations who has contributed to this business and its growth ensures it stays that way. From a humble beginning we are today one of the leading quality exporters of beach sand minerals in this country. It was made possible because of God’s own will with combination of Hard work and support of friends like you. This tremendous growth path has earned us a lot of good friends like you and few enemies or competitors who envy our growth. We have strong reason and evidence to believe one such competitor is the one main cause of this issue. We have been mining in accordance with the laws; the mining laws, the environmental laws, the atomic energy laws, and the general laws of India, including taxation and labour laws. Yet, the unfortunate actions of a revenue official in Tuticorin, who made improper allegations against us (without any kind of notice to us, or even a hearing given to us) have been twisted against us, by those who wish us ill. Half-baked allegations are being repeated, as though they are biblical truths. Rumours are being quoted, as though they are facts. The fact remains that the official who made the first allegation against us was wrong. We believe he did so from improper motives. Time will prove us right, and him wrong. But let us analyse what he did. He did not choose to place any evidence before us, and ask us any questions. He did not request us to offer our side of the story. Instead, he made a Press Statement, concluding that we were guilty. Let us examine his actions. Did he seize any material from our campus? Did he capture any of our trucks? What proof does he have to support his claim? Time will bring out all these answers along with the truth which won’t stay hidden for a long time. From then, media have started blaring out false acquisitions based on nothing but rumours spread by a few. The TN Government has begun a crackdown on illegal mining and we fully welcome this move. The persons who started the malicious whispering campaign against us will soon realise where the truth lies. We whole heartedly welcome and applaud the move of TN Government in forming a special investigation team and ordering a temporary ban on mining. We are confident this process will identify the real culprits behind the issue and clear out the names of the companies who are transparent in their business. To sum up, beach mineral industry is a well regulated industry, inspected and governed by atleast 15 different departments from State and Central Governments unlike river sand mining. We pray to the Honourable Chief Minister to kindly expedite the inspection process so that we could continue to support the 10s and 1000s of family members and contribute to the country’s foreign exchange which is very much needed at this time.
