To be a Roman Catholic does not mean blindly following the Pope. For the first time in the modern era we had a Pope.....Pope Benedict who was actually deposed. We should question whether his resignation might have been forced. We should not start worshiping the new pope even before he does anything just because the media tell us to do it. Every good Catholic should question and not just blindly obey every Pope, especially after the reforms of Vatican II which eradicated the old Church that had been in existence for thousands of years. The United States on a world wide conquest toppling or trying to topple government after government such as Afghanistan,Iraq,Libya,Syria,Ukraine and others. Every Roman Catholic needs to remember that the seat of the Pope has enormous power and that the Catholic Church and the Vatican is a nation in itself. With over 1 Billion citizens this world wide nation has the power to become the strongest nation on earth and who is to say that the United States government doesnt want to topple or at least control that nation as well. Isnt it ironic that the people who always wanting to keep religion separate from politics insisting that the two should not ever mix are the same people who always attack the church? Perhaps they insist on this because they do not want Catholics to talk back and for us to stay quiet while they conquer us.
