To become truly great, one has to stand with people, not above them. ~ Charles de Montesquieu This week we learn what it means to be humble. This means that no matter what you do or where you go you can fit in. You can adapt to whatever you have to, because you are strong enough to understand the people you are with. Humility means never believing you are better than anyone else. As soon as you do you become egotistical. Being egotistical means you only think about yourself and don’t take other people into consideration. You can be very smart, but remember there is always someone out there who is smarter. You can be good at leading but a true leader surrounds themselves with those they respect and trust because of their teams talents. Being humble means you understand this and you don’t put yourself above others... you put yourself within the midst of others. Ask Your Child: 1. Do you like all the kids in your class? If no, why not? 2. What do you think about the kids who do not have as many things as you do? 3. Would you share your things with your friends?
