Job Purpose The position exists to offer technical support to the Authority in the area of electrical maintenance to ensure that all electrical systems are operating to support our operations. Duties and Responsibilities a) Provide electrical technical support through participation in the installation, maintenance, upgrade, repair and servicing of the following systems and installations: - Domestic and commercial electrical reticulation; Runway, taxiway and all movement area lighting as well as security and flood lighting; Conveyor belts and Aero-bridges; 11kV substations and transformers, Terminal buildings and apron lighting; b) Work with external contractors like ZESA as per need and ensure compliance to National and ICAO regulations c) Maintain equipment records and submit reports as required Qualifications and Skills § National Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized and reputable institute OR Journeyman/ Skilled Class 1 Certificate in Electrical Engineering. § 2 years’ experience in electrical maintenance. Other Requirements and Competences: § Knowledge of high voltage safety standards § Excellent communication and interpersonal skills § Knowledge of basic refrigeration techniques is an added advantage § Strong diagnostic skills § Clean Class 4 driver’s license. § computer literacy POSITION B: SYSTEMS DEVELOPER x1 Location: Head Office Reports to: Database Administrator Job Purpose The position exists to provide an Information and Communications Technology platform ,that result in operational efficiencies and effectiveness thereby contributing towards the attainment of our objectives and mandate. Duties and Responsibilities § Evaluate and minimize the costs of developing or maintaining software systems. § Provide cost-effective ICT solutions for the organization. § Develop value-adding software systems, facilitate the improvement of service delivery to our clients § Design appropriate system controls and audit trails to prevent and detect possible fraudulent activities in the operation and management of the systems. § Design data integrity mechanisms to ensure efficient, accurate and reliable CAAZ systems. § Provide appropriate and timely status reports for management and respond to queries on the operational systems. § Maintain system security configurations to provide appropriate access to users, permission lists and roles as appropriate to the application § Collaborate with other team/department members to build knowledge of modern IT methods and processes, as well as acknowledgement of the technical operation of our systems. § Provide guidance and mentoring to trainee and peer team members in understanding and maintaining our systems §Provide users with training and day-to-day assistance on the effective usage of developed systems. Qualifications, Skills and Competences § A University Honors Degree in Computer Science or Applied Information Technology (Software Engineering) or equivalent § Oracle Development certification § 3 years relevant work experience in a systems development environment. § Troubleshooting/problem solving skills § Ability to develop systems using Oracle, Visual Basic, or Visual C. § Knowledge of client/server compatible RDMS is a necessity. § Working knowledge of Database Development. § Good analytical skills § Excellent communication skills at all levels § Pass aptitude test § Ability to train users § Ability to communicate at all levels POSITION C: ICT TECHNICIAN X1 Reports to Network Administrator Location: Head Office Job Purpose Installation, repair, maintenance and support of Information Communication Technology infrastructure and systems Duties and responsibilities Diagnoses and rectifies network, hardware and computer problems. Troubleshooting and hardware support. Carries out periodic maintenance and services of all ICT devices. Troubleshoots and repair all ICT devices (processors, monitors, printers, laptops, gate readers, check-in printers and other peripheries. Implements network set-up and configuration changes as instructed by Network Administrator. performs network installations according to laid down designs and as directed by the network administrator. Diagnoses and rectify PABX and telephone problems. Participate in installation and commissioning of new hardware and software. Troubleshoot and repairs telephone handsets up to component level. Provides 24 hour/ day and night shift technical support of aviation facilitation systems (CUTE/CUPPS, BAGERA, and FIDS). Participate in technical support of internet, e-mail, CARD 5 ID system,Licensing and Examinations, Invigilation Systems, and all administrative Microsoft products,, to ensure that the systems have a maximum uptime for greater efficiency. Provides users with training and day-to-day assistance on the effective usage of ICT equipment in order to impart the requisite knowledge and technical expertise. Provides ICDL training for staff and external candidates to enhance efficiency and generate revenue. Implements network security procedures and perform backups/disaster recovery under the supervision of the Network Administrator. Qualifications, Skills and competencies A Higher National Diploma in Computer Science. Current Certification in CompTIA A+ 3 years’ work experience in a computer-networking environment, repairing, maintaining, configuring and supporting network services and devices · Ability to assemble computer devices is essential. · Ability to troubleshoot and repair computer hardware, PABX and related telecommunications hardware/devices · Knowledge of networking fundamentals and telecommunications. · Ability to carry out network cabling · Excellent communication skills · Ability to train users. POSITION D: TRAINEE FIRE FIGHTER x 16 Harare Branch x 2 Buffalo Range Branch x2 Charles Prince Branch x2 Kariba Branch Job Purpose To participate fully in training modules during entire training period in order to be able to acquire skills for saving live, property and provide humanitarian services during emergencies and any distress calls. Duties and responsibilities § The position is responsible for maintaining a state of preparedness at all times in order to be able to participate in all training requirements and attend to emergencies when required to do so. The position undertakes the following activities during the training period: - § Responds to emergency calls when required § Participates in all training activities as instructed § Carries out rescue and fire fighting duties as directed § Giving pre-hospital care to causalities (first aid) as directed § Inspects, tests, services and maintains R.F.F.S equipment as instructed § Tests/ Maintains, under the guidance of the leading fire fighter, fire fighting, rescue, and emergency medical equipment in good working order to ensure serviceability during imminent turnouts. § Records and reports any defects discovered on equipment and ambulances to the Leading Fire Fighter for remedial action. § Participates in all forms of (R.F.F.S) drills, lectures, hot fire, emergency and disaster training exercises. § Carries out familiarization tours and inspection of airport facilities, buildings, water supplies, aircraft, runway and fire fighting systems. § On return from emergency operations or drills he/she shall ensure that Fire tenders are replenished, equipment, B.A sets and hoses have been replaced and serviced to take the next call.
