To the GENERAL HOSPITAL. I went up there to find out why my right lower rib cage is dented inward after an accident that I was in a couple of days ago... and after noticing that it clicks and pops when I move in certain ways, and that it is causing me a lot of pain. I was sent to the X ray room. I asked if I should wait to take the film back to the nurses. The women said no, I will send it to the emergency electronically. I went back up there and they show me this PA or AP X ray of my chest and said that nothing was fractured. I saw a couple of fractures on the original side view one. They said that they MAY BE old fractures and that I could go home. Nurse, Its getting very painful... especially when I move around in certain ways and it clicks or pops. The front view is no good for this case anyway... Lets see the side view again because I saw a clear fracture on that. Another really bossy nurse says Are you a doctor? So I explain to her that I have been breaking bones ever since I was 14. I know what it feels like. Plus, because I always had nice doctors, they would show me the X rays and explain what everything on them was, especially the fractured or broken bones! Then, she was sending the other nice nurses away when I was asking them for an explanation. Finally she let me go up to the screen so that I can show her the fracture on the side view, and it all just goes black and white. Then she is telling me that the picture got screwed up. So I demand to take another X ray. The nicer nurse sends me back to the X ray. The lady over there says: They didnt call me, I will not take any more X rays. I will resend the ones that I took. Go back to the emergency. So I go back and another copy of X rays come through. But they are white as ghosts. So they are trying to restart the PC, they even let me try editing them with the program. Nothing! Now this is obviously very simple... All you have to do is turn up the contrast or the levels of the program to get them black and white or vice the versa to get them super white. Those computers are obviously connected as a network...! I get the nice nurse to go through them and I start taking pictures with the camera... The other nurse says thats not permitted. I said to her what you people are doing is not permitted! She says the program must be screwed and besides that you are not a doctor anyway! I said: good, then get me one! I told her to call the X ray women about the technical problem and headed up there to show her what we were looking at on the camera. She refused to look and said that she had done X rays for a lot of people today and that everything was alright and that she was not permitted to say anything more about her job. I am thinking what great ignorance...! So I tell her lady, I am trying to help you out, so that we can get to the bottom of this... I am in a lot of pain...! The police from the front desk comes there. She asked did they send you? He says: yes but he just stood there So I said, is this how you people call each other to communicate on fixing the problem? Then, I told the officer that I wanted to show him the photos. He saw them and he agreed that there was a problem with those photos. I got pissed off! I told the lady that I had come again to show you what is coming up on the other side at the front desk. I am trying to help you so that it can be fixed I said... I was going up and down in pain like an idiot and you people were playing me... Fine! Lets play this game your way then. Am I a doctor? Ive explained my experiences with broken bones and X rays and believe me they were plenty...! Since you nurses and the X ray woman (by the way you had a nice smile when you smiled once!) didnt want to do your job properly or at least get me a doctor! Lets do some homework! Let me start by telling you that we all have 12 pairs of ribs. Ribs are described based on their location and connection with the sternum. Ribs that articulate directly with the sternum are called true ribs, whereas those that connect indirectly via cartilage are termed false ribs. The phrase floating rib (Latin: costae fluitantes) refers to the two lowermost, the eleventh and twelfth, rib pairs; so-called because they are attached only to the vertebrae–and not to the sternum or cartilage of the sternum. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rib_cage#Attachment . Now that we have finished the first part of our lesson, lets take a look at a video on X rays. youtu.be/SC-NggHZ_ZQ Now lets continue and take a look at another video. youtu.be/3Soj8NejXO0 . This one is also very very important. youtu.be/FKO4yg2FnX4 This too is VERY important to know... Look at how in some cases BOTH front and side view X rays are needed to come to any conclusions youtu.be/KGgtXd-I4xo How to count ribs in an X ray youtu.be/8QhFo9Ft0Xw Just encase you need to understand things better youtu.be/PoA-Uq9w-7s?list=PLKWdAeze0mmu1_dBtCM-HJJMwp1tEdPtS Oh and look at this, a cute nurse explaining a few things a little better for you guys youtube/watch?v=W1aFIY97YIc Now that we have learned a few things, PLEASE explain to me HOW YOU PEOPLE diagnosed that I had no fracture WITH THESE X RAYS and why some of you people were being so ignorant and rude? Listen, because I am not the bastard that you all think I am. If the hospital wants to fire any of you, I will sue the hospital for what happened up there tonight! Not to mention how my aunt died from a broken leg in your hands, not to mention that her daughter my cousin died a few years ago when giving birth in your hands... No..., lets just forget about all that! I dont want you to lose your jobs. So just to make sure that you dont lose your jobs after this, I am threatening the Hospital that I will sue them for what happened tonight if they fire you! If they dont fire you I will NOT sue anybody! However, take a little bit of advice... Put your noses down a little bit and do your job next time the way its supposed to be done! I understand that it was busy up there, I understand that you were all very tired. I understand that I didnt let you touch me at first to make a physical evaluation. But hey, you should have called a doctor when I insisted that this is serious! Believe me, I avoid that place as much as I can. If I am there, its serious and very painful! The kinder nurse finally saw that about two of my lower ribs went in and when I finally let her touch me she admitted that all the signs meant fractures... maybe even serious ones. But others wanted to remain stubborn! When I make certain movements something pops and clicks and its very painful! I need to know what that is, it may need to be fixed. I have pushed (from bottom to top and from back to front) each of my ribs. The two floating ribs at the bottom are OK. Once I touch the tenth one I feel a lot of PAIN! When I touch the ninth one I feel a lot of PAIN! If I push enough something pops. the eight one is so so... So, You have my number, I am waiting for your CALL please! We are going to have to check this further...! The right way this time! Oh and X ray woman, lets not play games again. And next time, dont tell me that your technician had everything under control and working properly if you were not playing games.
