To the one who wrote this blog, Im sure your intentions were noble. But to tell people to keep quiet and not complain about what is happening is just wrong. How can you not complain when you see thousands of Filipinos still suffering from huger and utter devastation. How can we possibly shut up when a number of voiceless men, women and children are still trapped somewhere crying desperately for help. Weve suffered so much as a nation just because for so many years we have been silent, quiet and forbearing. Its about time we wake up from the slumber that our own government and the world has imposed on us as a nation. Lets make our government accountable once and for all, for their failure to protect this nation and for all the abuse and corruption in all levels public service. Let us make the major nations accountable for their blatant disregard on the issue of climate change. Let us be vocal on this issue and let every Filipino know that now is the time for change. True, this unfortunate event is a tragedy, but its even more tragic if we simply brush this off as merely a calamity because the truth is there is a root cause for all this decay in our nation. Weve been silent for a long time, now is the time to wake up and speak up.
