To whom it might concern, I am a final year nursing student, - TopicsExpress

To whom it might concern, I am a final year nursing student, one of the ICs running non-OCLP stations in Admiralty. I declare I do not represent any groups/organization in this post. As far as I know, the existence of non-OCLP stations are mostly because of: (1) OCLP officials told the ICs they would not consider them as official first aid stations; and/or (2) we regard ourselves as political neutral when we are on duty, and are concerned with the groups name OCLP.; and/or (3) for higher risk areas, no first aid station was established, especially when OCLP announced to close stations for safety reasons. These stations exist because volunteers there are aware of and have own judgement on own safety. (I guess, no one (not even OCLP) can ensure anyones safety/legal responsibility, after the regretful incidents happened in MK/CWB.) This article (inmediahk.net/node/first-aider-e) was written by my fellow nursing classmate, who is also one of the ICs running non-OCLP stations in Admiralty for more than a week. And I hereby ensure that the content was his real experienced. I also have personally verified with the writer that 海富大站 below refers to the HQ in Admiralty. From my personal experience, this is not the only time OCLP 海富HQ refused/ show unwillingness to provide medical staff/resources upon request. And the bureaucratic attitude of the HQ strongly hinders effective communication within the Admiralty area, which compromise the health/safety of the public in the area. I hereby demand a thorough and open explanation from OCLP officials regarding this incident. I can provide contact information for the writer in this article for further investigation. Besides, I suggest OCLP officials kindly consider offering help to non-OCLP stations upon request. It is totally acceptable if OCLP HQ wants to reserve MOs/RNs in their official stations. But I hope when we cry for help, OCLP HQ can respond promptly. In fact, some non-OCLP stations are constantly without access to MOs or even RNs. I have made this map (https://google/maps/d/edit?mid=zU5f5Uc-lnMw.km1a6K3Fc8U4) with names and locations of OCLP and non-OCLP stations in admiralty. I hope the naming and locations can facilitate communication. All the stations in the map have already established connections among each other. Please response in the comment box if necessary. Thank you very much. Yours sincerely, On Ki, Li
