Today-Anatoly lead us to the world of Steampunk. He shared video links, we explored a Steampunk Sim, and they wrote about a Steampunk World. STEAMPUNK What would the world be like if electricity hadn’t been invented? It would be a purely mechanical world, but a very advanced one. Movement would be with notched wheels that we use in mechanical clocks, using the power of steam. We would install mechanical filters to all our contraptions to get rid of pollution. We would be in be trouble with rust, because everything around us would be metal. We would use adding machines instead of computers. And a pneumatic mail system instead of e-mail. If you were very ill, you could replace your limbs and organs with mechanical devices. We would wear extremely exotic clothes. Women could wear armor. We could travel by a hot air balloons and steam railway engines. We would read the novels of Jules Verne and H.G. Wells, again and again.
