In addition to a number of important Alaskan reforms, the Water Resources and Reform Act (WRRDA) Conference report authorizes 34 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects that would make improvements to navigation, flood risk management, recreation, and infrastructure and environmental restoration. This is a particularly important piece of legislation for the vast number of Alaskan communities that rely heavily on their ports and harbors for their social and economic well-being, and I look forward to a swift passage in the Senate.
