Today I was in the subway and witnessed the entire underground - TopicsExpress

Today I was in the subway and witnessed the entire underground singing along and clapping with a man named Malik. He was in the 59th street and Lexington 6 train station. He was playing the keys and singing old school MOTOWN...What a texture in his voice and talent that seriously makes you take a step back once more to realize all the amazing talent out there that is overlooked or doesnt get the chance to even try because they DONT have the technology..nor do they WANT it... or money to promote themselves. ALL of their earnings go that instrument and that microphone. And AKLL their joy comes from the audiences joy...the way it began and forever SHOULD be:)) TRUE ROCKSTARS day in and day out. In THAT moment it also reminded me one of the many reasons of why I continue to fall in love with NEW YORK! Its an energy and an incredible force when we come together in good and bad, that cannot be explained...you just have to feel it. Like KINGSTON, JAMAICA...like NASHVILLE, TN...I get to love, live and do music in 3 of Music Capitals in the WORLD! I am SO grateful! Im posting a shot video I captured. You miss the end of the song because the train comes but today Malik silenced New Yorkers and then brought them to a roar and Im SURE he made so many more days today like he did mine...Thank you Malik for bringing me back home:)))
