Today I will give you our Center address. Wondo Genet Agricultural Research Center (WGARC) was situated in Hawassa Woreda Sidama Zone of Southern Nation and Nationalities and People Regional Government (SNNPRG), according to the administration division by the current government Hawassa was one of the distinct of the Sidama Zone in the regional government. WGARC situated 250Km from Adiss Abeba, the capital city of Ethiopia, 47 & 13Km respectively from Hawassa and Shashemene the near town. This sub center of Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research found in between Wondo Genet Collage of Forestry and Natural Resources and Wabishebelle Hotel of Wondo Genet. The total area is estimated to be 90 Gasha that comprised both cultivated and uncultivated area (hill side, marshy, stony, …lands) owing to the favorable climatic condition and good quality of agricultural natural. The area was very conductive for production of cereals and perennial crops as well as animal’s husbandry. to be continued…
