Today (May 5th) marks 11 years since I moved to CA from NYC. At the time, it was one of the saddest days of my life. Little did I know that my life would be turned upside down and that I would be in for the ride of my life. Its also insane to think that my family and I moved out to San Diego to be with my dad (he was out here for work all the time) and that hes no longer with us. Its such a weird mix of feelings and this day has become such a special day for me in more ways than one. Nevertheless, in spite of lifes many uncertainties, I am so blessed to be on this very exciting, and often tumultuous, ride—and Im even more thankful that I have some very special people in my life to share that ride with (yes, you). Thanks for joining me. Its going to be a great time. Side note: I hope I never forget that look of excitement on my dads face when we met him at the airport on this day 11 years ago.
