Today Werksmans presented a Consumer Rights & Responsibilities Workshop at the Afrika Tikkun Arekopaneng Community Centre in Orange Farm, south of Johannesburg. The focus of the workshop was to explain the consumer protection offered under the National Credit Act and the Consumer Protection Act to consumers in the area. Werksmans was joined by the National Debt Mediation Association and the Credit Ombudsman, both of whom also presented on consumer rights; in particular debt management and access to credit.
