Today a deranged man entered gun-free Los Angeles International Airport and began shooting TSA agents. He evidently asked people if they were TSA, and left them alone if they said no. One was killed, others were wounded. The shooter was wounded by police (who are allowed to defend themselves) and taken into custody. LAX was locked down all day. According to CBS, the shooter, identified as Paul Anthony Ciancia, carried a bag with (and I quote) ...notes saying that the TSA were fascists and pigs, anti-American rantings, anti-TSA rantings and references to the new world order, which is another growing conspiracy group that believes the world is going to be taken over by forces and black helicopters and so on. Let me take this opportunity to reject the violence that took place today. As someone who despises the TSA, I can say that acts of aggression will only hurt our cause and serve as reasons enhance the police state. We need to resolve to abolish the TSA by presenting superior arguments. Murder is not a righteous or viable method of obtaining public support and political change. Members of the public were seen hugging the TSA agents after the event. This was the first TSA agent killed in the line of duty.
