Today at work I spoke with a marriage counselor, who had been married for 61 years so obviously he was doing something right. As he held my hand and told me his life story all I could do was smile. He said in marriage there must be communication of course but most of all honesty and love. He even went so far to tell me he was a Christian counselor. At that point it was very in depth and he tells me you dont want to waste your time or your significant other time, divorce usually ends when you find out about the other person years later that you didnt know, if they can love you for who you are today they can love you forever, if they want to change you today they will want to change you later. So he stops to ask me Brianna how long have you been married I smiled and said Im 24 he said what does that have to do with anything. So I shook my head and said nothing and replied Im not married. He talked on some more with really good things to say and said well you should be and thatll be 25 dollars with a huge smile on his face. Everything was just so profound all I could do was smile here I am walking around called over by an 81 year old man asking for conversation and he gives me the best advice. Dont look over the elderly like they have nothing to say they have experienced a world of things and know alot I truly enjoyed that conversation.
