Today finished up the last of the projects for Nathans new room. Santa recently saw a hammock platform swing that was just perfect for Shorty but the price tag was close to $280. After watching all those interns at the therapy hospital whip up homemade therapy items at a fraction of the cost, I thought there was still hope. I found a hammock on Amazon for $40, bought a Birch plywood scrap for $5, found a plastic KinderMat for padding with a little duct tape and Elmo blanket around the house and poof, it worked. He loves it, he has played in it swinging for an hour as I finished the caulking on the mirror. Nathan hates swinging at therapy but now he can do it on his own when he wants. This new therapy room is the best thing ever, the best Wish ever. I am just so grateful for everyone involved in making it happen. I have to save that for the next post. Nathan is just doing great, therapy is going incredibly well. I have watched him do things the past two weeks that I had given up on. He is and has made tremendous progress these past months, it truly is pretty amazing to watch him as he is finally starting to master tasks. Thank you all for your continued thoughts and prayers. XO
