Today is Giving Tuesday; we ask you to think of us and give us a little holiday present as we raise funds to help repair our lovely 19th century main building, the Leura Murray Center. The Leura Murray Center is a National Historic Landmark and it would be a shame to let it fall into complete disrepair. Every little bit will help us. What is Giving Tuesday? We have Thanksgiving. We have Black Friday and Cyber Monday where we shop and buy and get deals. 2012 saw the birth of Giving Tuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. We join charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world as we come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. It’s a simple idea. Join us and be a part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity. We gratefully welcome anything you can give. A cash gift is welcome, and if you have a skill that we can put to use (such as carpentry, painting or even plumbing) we are grateful for those gifts too.
