Today is Jeannes birthday, and my day with Bill started with a conversation about this very important occasion. He only could manage head nods, but he made it very clear that he did not want me to go buy her a present from him. She will have a birthday present, but it will wait until he can buy it himself!! What a guy. He is so determined. He sat on the edge of the bed unsupported for at least 10 minutes, did exercises and fed himself ice cream and a Popsicle. His toe got pinched in the process and he said an unprintable word, however we heard it! :D He made his mother proud. ;) Therapy thinks he is ready to begin eating solid foods, but they will wait until after his surgery on Tuesday. (permanent shunt) So amazing. So wonderful. Thank you to the staff at Maine Medical and thank you all for your prayers and support.
